This installation explores the intersection between speculative fiction, ceramics, and climate catastrophe, encouraging viewers to formulate strange or utopian prophesies. It features ceramics that appear other-worldly and unlike anything that lives in the world we know now. They are seemingly something that would only incarnate in our dreams or imaginations. The installation invites critical reflection on contemporary political undercurrents to do with the commodification and consumption of our planet and its resources. It also allows for criticism and reflection upon the nature of ceramic production and how it affects the earth.
