We are (not) (y)our words is an immersive research work that uses text and movement to understand how we associate with, cling to and detach ourselves from the words we (or others) place upon us. Investigating nationhood from Cantonese and white Australian perspectives, independent artists Bianca (Bee) Yeung and Ashleigh (Ash) Veitch explore the fraught and fractured nature of seeking cultural belonging on unceded lands.
