Timepiece

This suite of textile collages responds to various notions of time: in Covid lockdown; the ageing of materials, and of the body; and the relentless pressure to use time effectively. Made during Sydney's latest lockdown from an old painting drop sheet and very old, worn vintage cotton bedsheets, the works speak to the useful span of these items' lives, materials on hand during lockdown, and the desire to create something out of 'nothing'.
